
The 2ТE70 Freight diesel locomotive with two six axial sections shares main parts with the TEP70 and TEP70BS passenger diesel locomotives. It is designed for running freight trains up to 6,000 t on 1520 mm gauge railways and is built according to GOST 15150-69 climatic requirements applicable for Russian railways. It can be used in CIS and Baltic countries as well.
