Samara Metro Receives a Train by TMH

MH Mytishi Plant handed over a four-unit metro train to Samara Metro.

The contract for two head cars and two intermediate cars 81-717.b/714.b was signed in October 2019.

The Series 81-717.b/714.b is the latest and most advanced modification of the 81-717/714 metro trains, widely used in Russia, CIS countries, and Eastern Europe. They comply with all requirements to safety of passenger transportation.

The driver’s seats now have antivibration mounting (pneumatic suspension) and can be adjusted in three dimensions. Driver’s cabs now have climate control systems and soundproofing.

The updated passenger interiors feature forced ventilation with an emergency mode, modernized interior trim, fiberglass frame seats, “light strip” lighting solution, stainless steel horizontal and vertical handrails, and video surveillance converging video feeds to the driver’s control panel. The head cars carry accessibility zones. All interior materials are fire-proof.

The doorways have warning lights to signal the closing sequence, the door mechanisms feature anti-pinch function that detects obstacles. The trains carry updated electric equipment and modernized bogies, which allows for a 31-year lifecycle.

TMH Mytishi Plant produces Series 81-717.b/714.b since 2009. At various times, the factory supplied these to metros of Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, and Ekaterinburg.
